Deputy Assistant Commissioner Andy Valentine acknowledged the distress caused by the incident and emphasized that officers would remain present in both Bristol and London to reassure the public. “We understand the concerns of local communities in both Bristol and London, and officers will remain in the areas over the coming days to reassure those affected by this tragic incident,” Valentine said.
Authorities have stated that they are not currently seeking any other suspects in connection with the case, although inquiries are ongoing. The discovery of the suitcases and the arrest of the suspect have sent shockwaves through the local communities, with police working diligently to uncover the full details of the tragic events.
