Maxie Solters, Publicist and Advocate for Women’s Rights, Passes Away at 37

Maxie Solters, a prominent publicist, actor, and advocate for women’s rights, passed away unexpectedly at 37. Her contributions to the entertainment industry and advocacy work will be remembered.

Bollywood Fever: Maxie Solters, a well-known publicist, writer, actor, and producer in the entertainment industry, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday at the age of 37. The cause of death has not been announced.

Born in 1987 and raised in Sherman Oaks, California, Maxie Solters had a deep passion for the arts and social justice. She graduated from the University of Southern California with a BA in Theatre, which set the stage for a multifaceted career in the entertainment industry. 

Solters began her journey in film and television casting while also dedicating herself to social causes, particularly those focused on ending violence against women. 

She worked as a coordinator for One Billion Rising, a global nonprofit organization committed to ending gender-based violence.

In addition to her work behind the scenes, Solters appeared in numerous productions and took on the role of creator, producer, and star of her own comedy web series, showcasing her versatility and talent in the entertainment field.

In 2012, Solters followed in the footsteps of her father, Larry Solters, and her late grandfather, Lee Solters, by entering the world of public relations. 

She became the third generation of her family to join the industry, working at Scoop Marketing. Her impressive roster of clients included iconic venues such as the Kia Forum and the Hollywood Bowl, as well as organizations like Music Forward. Her work in PR was marked by a deep commitment to her clients and the causes she believed in.

Maxie Solters was also actively involved in V-Day International and Women’s Rights advocacy, further solidifying her legacy as a dedicated champion for gender equality and social justice.

She is survived by her father, Larry Solters, and his partner, Carol Greenhut; her mother, Debra Graff; her Aunt Susan Reynolds; her cousin Jonah Reynolds; her longtime partner Dim Dobrin; and her beloved dog, Pookie.

A celebration of Maxie’s life is being planned. In lieu of flowers, her family requests that donations be made in her name to One Billion Rising, continuing her lifelong commitment to advocacy and making a difference in the world.
