India, Bollywood Fever: Since its July 5 launch, the third season of the crime drama Mirzapur has become the most-watched show on Prime Video in India, achieving views across 98% of India’s pin codes during its launch weekend, according to the streamer.
It’s no surprise, then, that Prime Video has confirmed a fourth season of the Hindi-language show is already in the works.
Mirzapur has not only captivated Indian audiences but has also reached viewers in over 180 countries. The series has featured in the Top 10 Trending list on Prime Video in more than 85 countries worldwide, including the U.S., UK, Canada, and Australia.
The ten-episode drama stars Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Shweta Tripathi Sharma, Rasika Dugal, and Vijay Varma, among others. Produced by Excel Media and Entertainment and created by Karan Anshuman, Mirzapur Season 3 is directed by Gurmmeet Singh and Anand Iyer.
The show centers around a tough millionaire carpet exporter and crime boss, whose power-hungry son is eager to inherit his father’s legacy. Conflict arises when they cross paths with an upstanding lawyer and his sons, setting off a game of ambition, power, and greed.
