NVIDIA’s CEO Jensen Huang will be honored with the Charles F. Jenkins Lifetime Achievement Award at the 76th Engineering, Science & Technology Emmys. Adobe and other industry innovators will also be recognized.
Bollywood Fever: Jensen Huang, the founder and CEO of NVIDIA, will be honored with the prestigious Charles F. Jenkins Lifetime Achievement Award at the 76th Engineering, Science & Technology Emmy Awards.Â
Huang’s leadership in accelerated computing and his pivotal contributions to generative AI have significantly advanced the technology landscape, earning him this distinguished recognition.
The ceremony, set to take place on October 23 at the Television Academy’s Saban Media Center, will also see software giant Adobe receive the Philo T. Farnsworth Corporate Achievement Award.
Adobe will additionally be awarded an Engineering, Science & Technology Emmy for the development of its Substance Painter, a groundbreaking non-destructive 3D texture painting application.
Several other innovators will be recognized during the event:
- Tom Ohanian, Ken Goekjian, Joel Swan, and Victor Young will receive an Engineering Emmy for their work on the Avid Multicamera System.
- Paul Pan, Yanchong Zhao, Tie Su, and Shimeng Bei will be honored for developing the DJI Ronin series of camera stabilization systems.
- Stuart Geman, Kevin Manbeck, John Mertus, and Michael Braca will be acknowledged for their work on MTI Film’s DRS Nova film and video restoration software.
- Benjamin Graf will be recognized for the creation of Accentize’s dxRevive Pro speech-restoration plugin.
- Jeremy Hochman, Chris Byrne, Colin Cook, and Justin Nicolaides will receive an award for Megapixel’s HELIOS processing platform for LED walls.
- Craig Seidel will be honored for his contributions to the MovieLabs Digital Distribution Framework.
- The Tiffen Company will be awarded for the development of the Steadicam Volt camera stabilization technology.
Committee co-chairs Barry Zegel and Wendy Aylsworth highlighted the diversity of this year’s honorees, noting the wide range of technologies that have significantly contributed to the storytelling process in television production. “This year we honor a diverse group of technologies that enable and advance the storytelling process for television production,” they said. The awards celebrate achievements across electro/mechanical camera stabilization systems, software that enhances editing and creation, LED volumes production support, and the integration of generative AI tools, underscoring the industry’s remarkable innovations.
