Liam Gallagher fuels speculation of an Oasis reunion in 2025, hinting at major concerts in Manchester and London. Could Britpop legends be set for a comeback?
Bollywood Fever: Liam Gallagher, one half of the famously feuding Gallagher brothers at the heart of one of the UK’s most iconic bands, Oasis, has added fuel to the growing rumors of a reunion next summer.
Following reports in the UK press of a potential thaw in relations between Liam and Noel Gallagher, Liam teased fans by posting on X, “See you down the front,” seemingly confirming the speculation.
Industry insiders are increasingly convinced that Oasis, who last performed together at the V Festival in 2009, will reunite for a series of concerts in 2025.
Reports suggest that the Wonderwall and Live Forever hitmakers could be playing 20 gigs across two cities, with Heaton Park in Manchester and Wembley Stadium in London being the rumored venues.
There are even whispers of a headliner slot at Glastonbury.
Oasis, fronted by Liam and driven by Noel’s songwriting, burst onto the scene in 1991 and quickly became a dominant force in the UK music charts during the Britpop era.
Their debut album Definitely Maybe became the fastest-selling debut album in UK history, while their follow-up, (What’s the Story) Morning Glory?, cemented their status as the UK’s biggest rock stars.
Despite their split in 2009, Oasis’s legacy endures, with 21 million listeners on Spotify today.
The brothers’ notoriously tumultuous relationship hit a breaking point in 2009 when a physical altercation before a concert in Paris led to Noel’s departure from the band.
Since then, they have not performed together, with Liam continuing his solo career and often expressing his desire to reunite Oasis.
Recent reports suggest that Noel, who has been more reluctant to reform the band, may have had a change of heart, possibly influenced by his expensive divorce last year. While the official confirmation of the reunion is still awaited, the prospect of Oasis returning to the stage in 2025 is already being hailed as the event of the summer, potentially rivaling Taylor Swift’s dominance of 2024.
If and when the rumors are confirmed, Britpop fans around the world can expect a monumental comeback as Oasis prepares to reclaim their place in music history.
