Allexis Ferrell, 27, was arrested in Canton, Ohio, after allegedly killing and eating a cat in front of horrified witnesses. She faces a felony charge of animal cruelty.
BollywoodFever: Police in Canton, Ohio, have released shocking footage of a woman, Allexis Ferrell, 27, who allegedly stomped on a cat’s head and then began eating it in full view of witnesses.
Ferrell was found by officers on August 16, with “fur on her lips and blood on her hands,” according to authorities.
Bodycam footage from the scene shows police arriving to find Ferrell squatting over the deceased cat. Officers quickly detained her, and one can be heard requesting rubber gloves, noting that she was “covered in blood.” When questioned about the incident, Ferrell, who initially remained silent, eventually responded with a quiet “I don’t know” when asked why she killed the animal.
Ferrell’s arrest came amid a surge of false rumors related to pet killings by immigrants, which had been circulating after former President Donald Trump made claims during a recent debate. Trump had alleged that Haitian migrants in nearby Springfield, Ohio, were killing and eating local pets, but Ferrell, who is not an immigrant, was identified as a lifelong resident of Canton, located 170 miles from Springfield.

While some Springfield residents had voiced concerns over Haitian newcomers allegedly harming animals, police and city officials have repeatedly denied these claims, insisting there have been no credible reports. A spokesperson for Springfield police stated, “There have been no credible reports of pets being harmed by members of the immigrant community.
Ferrell has a history of criminal charges, including cocaine possession, receiving stolen property, and child endangerment. She is currently being held in the Stark County Jail on a felony charge of cruelty to companion animals, with her bond set at $100,000. Ferrell has entered a plea of not guilty by reason of insanity and is scheduled for a competency hearing on October 15.
Witnesses at the scene in Canton told officers that Ferrell admitted to stomping the cat’s head before consuming it. One bystander described the incident as “gross,” and another confirmed seeing her eat the animal. Ferrell is a graduate of Canton McKinley High School and has a long history of run-ins with the law.
Her arrest and the disturbing details surrounding the incident have left the local community in shock, as the case now moves toward a trial in Stark County Common Pleas Court.
