Network Outages on AT&T
Thursday morning saw over 70,000 customers affected by outages on AT&T’s network, leading to disruptions in internet and cellular services, as per Downdetector.
Among those reporting issues, about half cited mobile phone problems, while another 40% noted a complete lack of signal.

The most heavily impacted areas include Austin, Houston, San Antonio, Indianapolis, Chicago, Atlanta, Miami, Dallas, and New York City.
AT&T responded, stating, “Some of our customers are experiencing wireless service interruptions this morning.
We are working urgently to restore service to them,” and advised utilizing Wi-Fi calling until services are fully restored, without specifying the cause of the outages.
The reported outages peaked at nearly 74,300 around 9:15 a.m. ET but have since begun to decline.
While other providers like Verizon, T-Mobile, and Cricket Wireless received some reports of outages, they were on a much smaller scale.
At least two carriers have confirmed that their networks are operating normally.
Despite the high number of outages reported in Chicago, the city’s Office of Emergency Management & Communications assured that the 911 center remains fully operational.
