Ozzy Osbourne issues an apology to Britney Spears for criticizing her social media dance videos, while his family expresses support for the pop star.
Ozzy Osbourne is attempting to make amends with Britney Spears after his recent critical comments about her dance videos on social media. In a new episode of The Osbournes podcast, the former Black Sabbath frontman apologized to the pop icon, while also offering some constructive feedback.
“Britney, I really owe you an apology. I’m so sorry for making that comment,” Ozzy said. “However, it would be better if you didn’t do the same f**king dance every day, every day. Change a few movements.”
His daughter, Kelly Osbourne, took a more supportive stance, saying, “Britney, never stop dancing. I love your dancing. It makes you happy, and I am sorry if any of us offended you.”
Despite his critiques, Ozzy reiterated his affection for the pop star, stating, “I love Britney Spears, but it’s the same dance every day. I really do apologize. I love you, and I think you’re beautiful.”
This apology comes after Ozzy’s previous comments in July, where he expressed frustration with Britney’s repetitive dance videos. “Every f**king day,” he said during an earlier podcast episode. “It’s sad, very, very sad.”
The rest of the Osbourne family, including Sharon, Kelly, and Jack, also expressed sympathy for Britney, especially considering her release from a conservatorship in 2021 after more than 13 years. Sharon and Kelly referred to Britney as a “poor little thing,” while Jack echoed the sentiment by calling the situation “very sad.”
Britney Spears responded to the Osbourne family’s remarks with a since-deleted Instagram post, where she told the Osbournes to “kindly f**k off.” She also reflected on the judgment she faces for dancing daily on social media, emphasizing the importance of support and growth.
Since then, Britney’s Instagram account appears to have been deactivated, but the conversation has highlighted the ongoing scrutiny and challenges she faces as she navigates her post-conservatorship life.
