The Philadelphia 76ers added key players like Paul George, while the New York Knicks signed former Sixers Marcus Morris Sr. and Landry Shamet in the 2024 offseason.

BollywoodFever: The Philadelphia 76ers have had a promising 2024 offseason, adding top talents like Paul George, Caleb Martin, and Andre Drummond to their roster. These key additions have made the 76ers one of the favorites heading into the 2024-25 NBA season.

However, they aren’t the only team making significant moves. The New York Knicks have also improved their roster, continuing to build on last season’s momentum when they knocked the 76ers out of the playoffs in a 4-2 series. Since then, the Knicks have added Mikal Bridges and Cameron Payne, bolstering their lineup.

The Knicks have also signed former Sixers like Marcus Morris Sr. and Landry Shamet to Exhibit 9 contracts, which are essentially training camp invites. Both players will now compete for a spot on the Knicks’ roster. Morris, a Philadelphia native, was part of the trade that sent James Harden to the Los Angeles Clippers last season. After a brief stint with the San Antonio Spurs and Cleveland Cavaliers, he now has a shot to secure a place with the Knicks.

The 76ers considered bringing Morris back this offseason, but he ultimately landed with New York. It will be interesting to see if the veteran forward can make an impact on the Knicks this season.
