Trivia
The film was inspired from the film Fatal Attraction. Sanjay Gupta wanted to make the film with Anil Kapoor,Juhi Chawla and Manisha Koirala. For unknown reason’s the film did not take off. Later Gupta bashed Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya in print calling it a horrible film. Arbaaz Khan wanted to remake Fatal Attraction with Zeenat Aman in 1993/1994. He had signed Abbas Mustan to direct the film. Once again it was shelved for unknown reasons.
When Ram Gopal Varma started the film, Urmila kept insisting that Hrithik Roshan be signed for the film.Ram Gopal had signed Fardeen for a 3 film contract , thus Fardeen was signed.
Manoj Bajpai was almost signed for the lead role. They decided they needed some one more glamorous.
The film was initially titled ” Jazbaa”.
Sonali’s Kulkarni’s first leading role in mainstream Hindi film.
