Former NFL star Reggie Bush halted a robbery at his $5.5 million Los Angeles home after a burglar smashed a window. Police are investigating the incident, with no injuries reported.

Reggie Bush Thwarts Robbery Attempt at His $5.5M Los Angeles Mansion

Former Heisman Trophy winner Reggie Bush stopped a robbery in progress at his $5.5 million mansion in Encino, Los Angeles.

The incident occurred around 11 p.m. on Tuesday night, when a burglar smashed a window attempting to break into Bush’s home.

According to TMZ, Bush was inside when the crime began and immediately shouted upon hearing the glass shatter, which scared off the intruders.

The USC Trojans legend’s quick reaction likely prevented further damage or theft. When local police arrived, they found broken glass near the back of the home, but no injuries were reported. It remains unclear if anything was stolen during the attempted break-in, as the investigation is still ongoing.

Bush, who has lived in the gated and well-secured property since 2019, has not commented on the incident.

The home, worth $5.5 million, is equipped with a high-end alarm system, making it a difficult target for criminals.

The former NFL star retired in 2016 after playing for several teams, including the Buffalo Bills.

However, Bush is best known for his illustrious college football career at USC, where he won the 2005 Heisman Trophy after rushing for 1,740 yards and scoring 16 touchdowns.

His Heisman win was later vacated due to NCAA violations related to improper benefits, but Bush remains one of the most celebrated college athletes of all time.

As authorities continue their investigation, Bush’s quick actions may have stopped a serious crime before it fully unfolded.
