RuPaul’s Drag Race star Willam is set to host Dark Room Duel, a male stripper reality series on OUTtv, featuring multi-talented performers in themed challenges. The winner will get a chance to open for Willam at one of their live shows.
Bollywood Fever: RuPaul’s Drag Race alum Willam is stepping into a new role as the host of an upcoming male stripper reality series, Willam’s Dark Room Duel, set to air on LGBTQ+ streaming platform OUTtv. The show will begin production in October and promises to deliver a thrilling competition where multi-talented male strippers go head-to-head in a series of themed challenges and performances.
The series will feature a bracket-based elimination system, where the last entertainer standing will win a prize package that includes the opportunity to open for Willam during one of their iconic live shows—a highly coveted spot that could propel the winner’s career to new heights.
Joining Willam on the judging panel are drag artist Meatball Queen, known for Dragula and the Sloppy Seconds Podcast, and male entertainer Rhyheim Shabazz, who was recently named the 2024 GayVN Performer of the Year. Together, they will bring a wealth of experience and insight to the judging process, ensuring that only the best performers make it to the top.
Willam, who has a rich history in the entertainment industry, including appearances on Nip/Tuck and A Star is Born, expressed excitement about the new project. “I used to book and manage strippers back in the day, and still some of my best friends are strippers,” Willam said. “Trust me, when it comes to taking off clothes I know what I’m talking about. Plus, I love making stuff with OUTtv.”
