Sarah Storey claims her 18th gold medal at the Paris Paralympics, winning the women’s C5 time trial and extending her record as Britain’s most decorated Paralympian.
Bollywood Fever: Sarah Storey further extended her legacy as Britain’s most successful Paralympian by winning her 18th gold medal on Thursday at the Paris Games.
The 46-year-old triumphed in the women’s C5 time trial, finishing in 20 minutes and 22.15 seconds, ahead of France’s Heidi Gaugain by over four seconds.
This victory marks Storey’s 13th gold in cycling, with her other five golds earned in swimming.
Storey broke swimmer Mike Kenny’s record of 16 Paralympic golds at the Tokyo Games, and now boasts a remarkable total of 29 Paralympic medals.
Her swimming career spanned from 1992 to 2004, after which she transitioned to cycling, continuing her dominance in international competition.
