Bollywood Fever: Colorado safety Shilo Sanders, the son of head coach Deion Sanders, suffered a suspected broken forearm during the Buffaloes’ game against the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
The injury occurred during a first-quarter collision with Nebraska running back Dante Dowdell, according to Deion Sanders, who confirmed his son’s status at halftime.
“I think a broken forearm or something like that, so he won’t be back in at all,” Deion Sanders told reporters.

The play reportedly happened as Shilo Sanders collided with Dowdell while attempting to stop a 13-yard run, with Dowdell using his momentum to push forward for a few extra yards.
Though Colorado’s program has not officially confirmed which play caused the injury, it is believed that this collision was the one that sent Shilo to the locker room.
Shilo Sanders finished the game with two tackles before leaving the field. He was the Buffaloes’ leading tackler during the 2023-24 season, amassing 67 tackles, four forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and one interception.
With Sanders out, Colorado will need to regroup and adjust defensively as they continue their season. Deion Sanders noted that the team must find a way to rally after this setback in their battle against Nebraska.
