After winning four medals at the 2024 Paris Olympics, Simone Biles is back in the gym, preparing for what’s next. Her journey continues in the upcoming episodes of her Netflix docuseries.
Bollywood Fever: You might expect that becoming the most decorated Olympic gymnast in American history would earn Simone Biles a well-deserved break, but the 27-year-old GOAT isn’t one to rest on her laurels.
Just weeks after her triumphant performance at the 2024 Paris Olympics, Biles is already back in the gym, showing the dedication that has made her a legend.
On Saturday, August 24, Biles shared a glimpse of her “first day back” at the gym via her Instagram Story.
Along with a photo of the World Champions Center in suburban Houston, she added an eyes emoji, signaling her readiness to keep pushing forward.
After returning to Texas nearly two weeks ago, Biles has been enjoying some downtime. On August 12, she posted on Instagram about being “home,” sharing a serene sunset view from her backyard pool.
She later posted a cozy photo from bed, expressing that she has “never been so happy.”
Biles’ return to the gym comes after an extraordinary showing in Paris, where she won gold medals in the individual all-around, balance beam, and vault, as well as a silver in the team all-around.
One of the highlights was her flawless Yurchenko double pike vault, a move that sealed her individual all-around victory.
Reflecting on the moment, Biles recalled, “Right now I’m thinking, ‘Don’t trip, don’t trip,’” and her elation after sticking the landing: “I was so excited. I couldn’t believe this moment right here actually.”
The women of Team USA, including Biles, delivered a remarkable performance in Paris.
If they were a country on their own, their medal count would have ranked third overall — a fact that Biles proudly shared on social media.
Despite the post-Olympic celebrations, Biles has also been a source of support for her teammates.
When Jordan Chiles’ bronze medal in the floor exercise was overturned and awarded to Romanian gymnast Ana Bărbosu, Biles publicly expressed her support for Chiles, writing, “Sending you so much love Jordan. Keep your chin up, Olympic champ! We love you!”
Fans won’t have to wait long to see more of Biles’ journey. The second part of her docuseries Simone Biles Rising is set to premiere on Netflix in October.
The new episodes will chronicle her journey from her unexpected departure at the Tokyo 2020 games to her comeback and victories in Paris.
Simone Biles’ story is far from over, and her return to the gym is a clear indication that she’s ready for whatever comes next.
