Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi calls for greater defensive discipline after a narrow 3-2 victory against 10-man Torino, despite Marcus Thuram’s hat-trick.
BollywoodFever: Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi has emphasized the need for better focus and defensive discipline following his team’s narrow 3-2 victory over a 10-man Torino on Saturday.
Despite Marcus Thuram’s stunning hat-trick that secured the win, Inzaghi expressed dissatisfaction with his side’s inability to close out the game comfortably, especially after Guillermo Maripan was sent off early in the match.
Inter’s third consecutive victory keeps them second in Serie A, but Inzaghi highlighted their vulnerability in defense, saying, “We need to improve in some aspects. We pay a heavy price for every tiny distraction.”

He further noted that the scoreline should have been more comfortable given Inter’s dominance, adding, “Considering everything we did today, today’s game shouldn’t have ended 3-2.”
Inzaghi admitted that Torino’s late offensive push, even with a man down, exposed Inter’s weakness in managing games.
He stressed the importance of attention to detail, particularly in the penalty area. “We’re working on it, and we need to do more.
Over the past two days, the team has trained extremely well,” Inzaghi added, expressing confidence that the team can resolve these issues going forward.
Inter will face AS Roma on October 20 after the international break, giving them time to address these concerns.
