Bollywood Fever: Stephen Baldwin shared a puzzling video on social media following his daughter Hailey Bieber’s revelation that she’s “not super close” with her family anymore. The “Usual Suspects” actor posted a selfie video of himself driving, staring into the camera, and giving a slight smirk before saying, “I love you.” He then looked away and returned his gaze to the camera with another smirk.
In the caption, Baldwin wrote, “Today, staying positive is a choice !! so I’m trusting in the power of joy, peace, and happiness. Finally if anyone hasn’t told you today, 😘 I LOVE YOU ❤️🔥.”
The post drew mixed reactions from his followers. Some reciprocated the love, while others referenced Hailey’s recent comments about her family. “Sadly your daughter don’t love you 😂😂 your [sic] embarrassing her 😂😂😂 @stephenbaldwin7 😂,” one person commented. The “Threesome” star’s video followed Hailey Bieber’s interview with W magazine, where she discussed her current distance from her family, including her parents, Kennya Deodato Baldwin and Stephen Baldwin, her sister Alaia Baldwin, and her uncle Alec Baldwin. “I’m not super close with my family at this point in my life because I feel like I’m very independent. I’m my own individual now, and I’ve built my own family,” Hailey said. She clarified that she has “very fond, beautiful memories” of her “fairly normal childhood.”
Hailey has been married to Justin Bieber since 2018 and is over six months pregnant with their first child. Neither Stephen Baldwin nor any other family members have directly addressed her comments.
Earlier this year, rumors of a rift between Hailey and Stephen surfaced after he posted a cryptic video asking his followers to “offer a little prayer” for his daughter and son-in-law. Sources told TMZ that the couple was “pissed” at Stephen for alluding to a “private” family matter on social media.
Just days later, Page Six reported that Alaia Baldwin had been arrested on charges of simple assault, simple battery, battery, and criminal trespassing after allegedly hurling a used tampon at a bartender in February.
