Bollywood Fever: A 26-year-old man has admitted to carrying out a stabbing spree in the western German city of Solingen, which resulted in the deaths of three people and left eight others injured, according to authorities early Sunday.
The suspect, whose involvement is currently under intensive investigation, was arrested after a 24-hour manhunt following the attack.
The attack, which occurred on Friday evening during a festival celebrating Solingen’s 650-year history, has been claimed by the Islamic State group.
Details about the suspect emerged late on Saturday when a state official announced the arrest on German television.
According to Der Spiegel, citing unidentified security sources, the suspect is reportedly Syrian, and his clothes were smeared with blood.
