Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried team up for the psychological thriller The Housemaid, directed by Paul Feig, adapted from Freida McFadden’s best-selling novel.
BollywoodFever: Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried are set to join forces on the big screen in the upcoming psychological thriller The Housemaid, an adaptation of Freida McFadden’s best-selling novel. Directed by Paul Feig, known for Bridesmaids and A Simple Favor, the film will be produced under Lionsgate’s banner.
Sweeney will play Millie, a young woman seeking a fresh start who takes a job as a housemaid for a wealthy couple, Nina (Seyfried) and Andrew. However, as the official synopsis reveals, “Millie soon learns the family’s secrets are far more dangerous than her own.”

Lionsgate Motion Picture Group chairman, Adam Fogelson, expressed his excitement: “A great filmmaker and a great cast with a great script from a great book is a terrific place to start.” Erin Westerman, the co-president of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, added that Sweeney and Seyfried are “perfect for Millie and Nina,” praising their ability to portray characters with hidden depths.
The Housemaid promises to deliver a suspense-filled cinematic experience with a stellar cast and compelling story.
