The Euphoria star, 26, who recently made headlines with a striking appearance in a black corset, took to Instagram on Wednesday to reveal her new role as the ‘Director of Dude’ for the Italian shoe brand, Hey Dude.
In a joint post with the company, Sweeney teased her fans with a playful introduction. Seated on a chair labeled ‘Director of Dude’ and facing the ocean, she suddenly turned around, leaving her followers in awe.
The star flaunted her toned legs and svelte frame as she took on various outdoor adventures, from riding waves to navigating rough terrain and even swinging off a cliff.
“Hey dude, it’s Syd. And we’re just getting started,” she captioned the post, modeling the brand’s slip-on shoes throughout her thrilling escapade.
Sweeney shared her excitement about the new role, saying,
Being the Director of Dude is truly just embracing the power of being a woman and being able to do absolutely anything I set my mind to, and showing others that you can do anything too if you just want to try it out.” She added, “I tried wake surfing for the first time a couple weeks ago and it was super fun. I also like to build treehouses or go rock climbing.”
Later in the day, Sweeney opened up to People about her desire to dive into the fashion world and her passion for supporting Hey Dude, a brand she’s “obsessed with.”
She noted that while the brand is popular among young men, she aims to bring it to a younger female audience. “Everybody should be comfortable and confident,” she told the outlet.
The actress explained that her role as a spokesperson for Hey Dude inspires her to be confident in her identity, a sentiment she hopes to share with her fans.
“I’m always really proud to be very unapologetically myself and the director of my own life, which is what I think it means to be a dude,” she said.
“I think that this campaign really just pulls back the curtains and shows who I am behind the camera and inspires people to be confidently themselves,” the five-foot-three beauty added.
