Tallulah Willis provides a heartfelt update on her father, Bruce Willis, amidst his ongoing battle with dementia. Discover how the Willis family is navigating this challenging journey with love, support, and resilience.
Bollywood Fever: Tallulah Willis recently opened up about her father, Bruce Willis‘ health, offering a comforting update in a new interview. The actress shared that her father, the iconic movie star, who is currently battling dementia, is still doing well, and she prioritizes spending time with him whenever possible.
Tallulah’s update follows her sister Rumer Willis’ recent comments about their dad’s health during a fan Q&A. In an interview with People Magazine, Tallulah discussed how important it is to her to be present during visits with her father, who has been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia.
She mentioned that whenever her schedule allows, she goes to “visit [her] dad and spend some time with him.” Tallulah emphasized the significance of entering these visits with an open heart, stating, “I go into it open to what the visit is, and knowing that before I go in, I’m solid. I’m okay.” She added, “I’ve done what I need to do to make sure that I can just be present.”
Tallulah, an entrepreneur and artist based in Los Angeles, also shared that her father’s condition remains stable. “He’s doing the same in terms of the last we kind of updated, which I’m told is good. But whatever kind of day it is, my family and I meet him where he’s at.”
In another interview with E! News, Tallulah expressed that Bruce’s stable condition is “a good thing,” highlighting the strong support her family provides one another during this challenging time. “Our visits have so much love, and I feel that overarches anything for me,” she explained, underscoring the deep bond she maintains with her father. “I know he knows how much I love him, I know how much he loves me – I know how much he loves all of us.”
Reflecting on the challenges this journey presents, Tallulah noted that her father’s condition has “created an opportunity for more love.” She admitted that in the past, she might have distanced herself during stressful times, but now, she and her family have developed a stronger, more supportive communication dynamic.
Rumer Willis also provided an update on Bruce’s health during a recent Instagram Q&A, reassuring fans that he is “great” and sharing a touching photo of her holding his hand. Earlier, during the premiere of her film “My Divorce Party,” Rumer expressed her gratitude for the overwhelming love and support her family has received, stating, “He’s great. Yeah, yeah, doing OK. Thank you so much for asking.”
Rumer emphasized the importance of sharing their experience publicly, hoping it brings hope and comfort to others facing similar challenges.
Meanwhile, Bruce’s wife, Emma Heming Willis, recently criticized a report suggesting her husband had lost all “joy” in life amid his health battle. In a video shared on Instagram, Emma firmly stated, “The headline says there is no more joy in my husband. Now, I can just tell you that is far from the truth.”
She urged society and the media to stop spreading fear and misconceptions about neurocognitive diseases. Despite the difficulties, Emma highlighted the presence of love, connection, joy, and happiness within their family, even amid grief and sadness.
Emma’s Instagram post emphasized that “two things can be true and exist at the same time. Grief and deep love. Sadness and deep connection. Trauma and resilience.” She called for an end to sensational headlines and a more nuanced understanding of life with neurocognitive diseases.
