Bollywood Fever: Tamra Judge is giving fans a candid look at her recovery process after undergoing a brow lift and CO2 laser procedure.
The 56-year-old Real Housewives of Orange County star took to Instagram on Sunday, September 1, to share a graphic update on her healing journey, revealing the challenges she’s facing during the recovery.
“Day three and the swelling’s making a statement. Progress isn’t always pretty, but it’s happening. 💆🏼♀️✨,” Judge captioned a video that showcased the noticeable swelling and patchiness on her face—a common side effect of the CO2 laser treatment she received.
In the video, Judge addressed her followers directly, explaining, “Okay guys, this is day three. It’s supposed to be the worst of it when it comes to swelling. You can see it’s all the way down my chest, but you can imagine what it feels like.”
As the day progressed, Judge’s swelling became more severe, leading her to share another update. “[The] swelling is supposed to be at its worst right now,” she explained. “I don’t know how it could get any worse. I feel like my skin’s gonna burst.” She also noted that her skin had started to ooze, adding to the discomfort.
Judge described the tightness she was experiencing, saying, “[I can] barely open my eyes. Hoping to turn a corner tomorrow. Little oozy [on] my neck and chest, the swelling is pretty bad but it doesn’t really hurt. It just feels really tight.”
She reassured her followers that her doctor had promised she would see improvement soon, saying, “Overall, looking like it’s supposed to look. Nice and crispy.”
Judge has been keeping her fans in the loop since she first shared news of her surgery on Instagram on Saturday, August 31.
In an initial video, she appeared with bandages around her face, stating, “OK guys, I made it. I am one hour in recovery. I don’t feel bad. My eyes are all blurry cause there’s like, I don’t know, something like vaseline in there or something. But let the healing begin.”
In her caption, she expressed gratitude to the doctors who performed the procedure, writing, “Taking you all along on my journey! I visited Dr. Donald Mowlds in Newport Beach, who works alongside Dr. Ambe, for a brow lift, CO2 laser, and a blue chemical peel. Seven years ago, I had a lower facelift but skipped the upper — like painting the house but forgetting the trim. Stay tuned for updates!”
Judge, who has always been open about her plastic surgery experiences, previously underwent a lower facelift in 2017.
She humorously referred to the procedure on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen in 2018, saying, “I call it a comeback. It’s just a mini. Don’t call it a facelift, call it a comeback! That’s my season 13 tagline.”
As she continues to heal, Judge’s transparency about her recovery process is a testament to her willingness to share the realities of cosmetic procedures with her fans, offering a glimpse into the challenges and triumphs that come with them.
