Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour

Excitedly, American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift is currently on her sixth headlining concert tour, known as the Eras Tour. This tour is in support of all her albums, including her latest release, Midnights (2022), as she had not toured for her previous studio albums Lover (2019), Folklore (2020), and Evermore (2020) due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Eras Tour is her second all-stadium tour, following the Reputation Stadium Tour in 2018. The U.S. leg of the tour started on March 17, 2023, in Glendale, Arizona, and is scheduled to conclude on August 9, 2023, in Inglewood, California. Swift has described the tour as a “journey through all of [her] musical eras”.

The demand for tickets to the Eras Tour has been described by media outlets as “unprecedented” and “astronomical”. In the U.S. leg alone, 3.5 million people registered for Ticketmaster’s presale program. On November 15, the day of the presale, Ticketmaster’s website crashed due to overwhelming demand, but 2.4 million tickets were still sold that day, breaking the record for the most concert tickets sold by an artist in a single day. However, Ticketmaster faced criticism and political scrutiny for the website debacle and allegations of monopoly within the concert business.
