Bollywood Fever: Tom Brady was seen getting a head start on the fun at Fanatics Fest at New York City’s Javits Center on Thursday, just as the massive sports event was being set up. The retired Super Bowl champion was spotted shooting hoops, hitting baseballs, and even taking swings at a punching bag as the event’s various sports challenges were being prepared for the weekend.
Fanatics Fest, organized by Fanatics and its founder Michael Rubin, is expected to draw up to 100,000 attendees from August 16-18. The event will feature a star-studded lineup, including appearances by Brady, Mike Tyson, Derek Jeter, Kevin Durant, and Ben Stiller, among others. Jay-Z is also set to make an appearance to launch a limited edition reboot of his 40/40 Club, exclusively available to a select group of VIPs.
In an exciting announcement, Rubin revealed that the best dressed superfan at the fest will win tickets to some of the biggest events in sports, including the Super Bowl, NBA Finals, Stanley Cup, World Series, WrestleMania, a major UFC fight, and the MLS championship. Additionally, 20 fans every hour will be chosen for meet and greets with their favorite athletes.
The event will also feature other big names like Eli and Peyton Manning, Travis Scott, Spike Lee, Jerry Rice, Kevin Garnett, Roger Goodell, Adam Silver, Reggie Jackson, Julius Erving, Jake Paul, and many more. Brady even made an appearance on an Instagram Live feed from the event, where he playfully called his NFL “arch rival” Eli Manning.
Fanatics founder Michael Rubin previously shared with The Post the unique nature of the event, emphasizing that no other company could pull off something of this magnitude, thanks to Fanatics’ extensive relationships across various sports leagues and industries.
