Tori Spelling shares details about her first and only threesome, how it shaped her views on attraction, and why she realized she was “definitely into boys.”
Tori Spelling is sharing details about a personal experience that helped her understand her own attraction preferences.
On her misSPELLING podcast, the Beverly Hills, 90210 star opened up about having a threesome, saying it was a moment that made her realize she was “definitely into boys.”
Spelling, now 51, recalled that the experience happened on the Queen Mary, a historic ocean liner-turned-hotel in Long Beach, California. The 90210 Season 6 finale was filmed there, and at some point, she found herself in an intimate situation with a man and a woman.
“It was me, a male and a female,” she told her listeners.

Despite what she expected, Spelling admitted she enjoyed it less than she thought she would. She explained that she used to “make out” with friends a lot—sometimes even with co-stars—but never really felt the urge to explore a relationship with another woman.
Looking back, Spelling said that in the ’90s, kissing another girl in front of friends was often done to impress guys rather than for personal attraction.
“I don’t think girls nowadays do this… But back in the ’90s, it was kind of a thing,” she explained. “You would be like, ‘Let’s shock the boys and make them drool.'”
She admitted she went along with that trend but never had an interest in women beyond that.
Spelling shared that she felt safe with both the man and the woman involved.
“This boy wanted it, and I played along,” she said. “I felt safe with this human. I felt safe with this female human. And sure, I always say you gotta try anything once.”

But once the moment passed, she realized something important about herself.
“I felt like I was just too nervous. I was anxious the whole time. The whole experience just felt off,” she admitted.
In the end, Spelling walked away from the situation knowing that her desire to kiss girls had always been more about “shock value” than genuine attraction.
