Viral footage captured by a doorbell camera shows Sean Strickland, a former UFC fighter, holding a gun while confronting pranksters outside his home. This incident occurred just six months after he had held a man at gunpoint on his property. Strickland, who last fought in the UFC in January, revealed to TMZ that the incident occurred around 1 a.m. on Saturday.
According to Strickland, several teenagers approached his front yard after jumping out of a car. They then made a loud noise near the entry of his home after circumventing the house. Surveillance footage from the home shows Strickland, reacting to the noise, walking out in a bathrobe with a firearm in his left hand. Fortunately, no shots were fired.
In a caption accompanying the footage shared on his Instagram, Strickland addressed the teenagers, questioning why they weren’t out enjoying their Friday night instead of engaging in such activities. He expressed frustration at what he perceived as misplaced priorities.
It remains unclear whether the teenagers were aware they were pranking Strickland. However, Strickland hinted at previous incidents, such as when he pointed a gun at a trespasser on his driveway who was fleeing from police in November 2023.
Strickland also recounted an incident where he chased a man with a flamethrower, underscoring the unusual events he has encountered at his residence.
In September, Strickland achieved a stunning victory over Israel Adesanya to claim the middleweight title at UFC 293. His upcoming fight is against Paulo Costa at UFC 302 on June 1. Strickland’s last bout in January resulted in a decision loss to Dricus Du Plessis after five rounds.
