Vicki Gunvalson calls out Tamra Judge for not mending her relationship with daughter Sidney Barney, urging her to prioritize family over fame in a recent podcast episode.
Bollywood Fever: Vicki Gunvalson recently voiced strong opinions about Tamra Judge’s strained relationship with her daughter, Sidney Barney, during an episode of her podcast, My Friend, My Soulmate, My Podcast, co-hosted by Christian Gray Snow. The Real Housewives of Orange County alum, 62, didn’t hold back, criticizing Judge, 57, for not taking more decisive action to repair the rift with her 25-year-old daughter.
“If my daughter didn’t talk to me, I’d be on a flipping plane right now, knocking on her door, begging her for forgiveness, and I don’t even care what I did!” Gunvalson declared.
She claimed that Sidney has a strong opinion about her mother, expressing that Barney wishes her mom would leave the Bravo reality show to avoid further embarrassment to the family. However, according to Gunvalson, Judge has not made any moves in that direction.
Gunvalson emphasized the importance of family, stating, “That shows Sidney, ‘I’m not important to you.’ I don’t care about my money, my stuff. I care about my family, my daughter, my people in my life.” She further urged Judge to apologize and make amends with her daughter, suggesting that if the show is the root of their issues, Judge should consider stepping away from RHOC.
Despite their long friendship, Gunvalson revealed that she has never had a deep conversation with Judge about her relationship with Sidney. Instead, Judge has only mentioned that it’s “so hard,” to which Gunvalson responded, “You gave birth to your daughter, you f–ked up. Go apologize and make it better and move on!”
Gunvalson, who has two children and four grandchildren, expressed disbelief that Judge could live without being close to her daughter, stating, “There’s no flipping way I would live a life not being close with my daughter and my son.”
She also criticized Judge for appearing to turn on the emotional “waterworks” on TV despite Sidney’s pleas not to be mentioned, calling it a “character issue” and “freaking weird.”
Judge, who shares Sidney, as well as son Spencer, 23, and daughter Sophia, 18, with her ex-husband Simon Barney, has been open about her emotional struggle with her eldest daughter since they became estranged following her 2011 divorce. In a recent interview on Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea podcast, Judge provided a hopeful update, noting that Sidney had begun reaching out to her siblings and was thriving in the film industry.
Although the two briefly reunited in June 2023 at Sophia’s graduation, they have not met up since. During the RHOC Season 18 premiere, Judge lamented the ongoing estrangement, describing the pain as akin to having a “child’s dead, but they’re still alive.”
