Former “SNL” star Victoria Jackson announces the return of inoperable cancer and reflects on her prognosis, sharing her journey with grace and humor.
Bollywood Fever: Victoria Jackson, former Saturday Night Live star, has revealed that her cancer has returned in the form of an inoperable tumor, leaving doctors unable to provide a hopeful prognosis.
In a video posted on Instagram Friday, the 64-year-old comedian shared the difficult news with her trademark humor, explaining that the tumor is pressing on her windpipe, which “eventually would suffocate me to death.”
Jackson disclosed that she’s been prescribed a “magic pill” to manage the disease, but noted that those who take it typically have only 32-34 months to live. With this in mind, Jackson has come to terms with the reality that her life may be nearing its end.
Despite the grim diagnosis, Victoria is facing the situation with grace, drawing strength from her Christian faith. She cited the Bible, which mentions that Christians typically live about 70 years, and pointed out that she’s almost reached that age anyway.
In the video, Jackson also shared a profound experience, saying that she recently heard God speak to her, and she described the message she received in detail.
This isn’t Jackson’s first battle with cancer—she previously fought breast cancer nearly a decade ago. Now, as the disease returns more aggressively, she’s been open about her journey, even sharing footage from her doctor appointments with her followers.
Jackson is best known for her work on SNL from 1986 to 1992 and for roles in films like I Love You to Death, The Pick-Up Artist, and Casual Sex? In recent years, she has also gained attention for her conservative political views.
Despite the diagnosis, Victoria remains determined, expressing that she still has goals and milestones she hopes to achieve before her time is up. Her resilience and determination to keep fighting serve as an inspiration to many.
