Shocking video from a UK Nando’s shows a customer smacking a server with a dinner plate. The incident, now under investigation, raises concerns over the initial police response.
London, Bollywood Fever: A shocking incident at a Nando’s restaurant in the UK has gone viral after surveillance footage captured a customer smacking a server in the face with a dinner plate. The disturbing moment unfolded when a man in a hoodie and beanie grabbed the plate and struck the waitress as she placed a family of three’s meal on the table.
The server, visibly stunned by the sudden attack, quickly ran off while the man, woman, and child at the table made a hasty exit from the restaurant. The motivation behind the aggressive act remains unclear.
The incident, which took place in March, has sparked outrage online, especially after a woman claiming to be the assaulted server shared her account on social media. The woman, identified as Zahra, alleged that the police, who were present in the restaurant at the time, failed to properly address the situation. Zahra claims the officers did not review the CCTV footage or take any immediate action to help her.
In response to inquiries, the Metropolitan Police issued a statement to MailOnline, acknowledging that the attack was reported at the time but admitting that officers did not follow up as they should have. An investigation is now ongoing, though no arrests have been made so far.
The viral video has left many questioning the handling of the incident, with the assailant seemingly escaping consequences despite being caught on camera.
