WhatsApp’s latest iOS update introduces video playback speed control and picture-in-picture features, offering users more flexibility. Learn more about the exciting new features.

BollywoodFever: WhatsApp is rolling out exciting new features in its latest iOS 24.20.78 update, enhancing users’ video playback experience by offering more control and convenience.

According to WABetaInfo, the update introduces the ability to adjust a video’s playback speed, with options for normal, 1.5x, and 2.0x speeds, allowing users to tailor their viewing experience to fit their preferences.

The speed control option is conveniently placed next to the progress bar, making it easy for users to access and personalize their content consumption.

Another exciting feature in this update is the widely anticipated picture-in-picture (PiP) mode for videos, which allows users to resize and move the video window while multitasking within the app.

The PiP mode also includes essential playback controls, such as skipping forward and backward and pausing the video.

This picture-in-picture feature will support iOS 14 and later versions, thanks to the availability of the necessary Application Programming Interface (API) since iOS 14.

If these features aren’t immediately available, some users may receive the update in the coming weeks as WhatsApp gradually rolls out the changes.

Users are advised to keep their app updated via the App Store or the TestFlight app to ensure they have access to these exciting new features.
