UK (Bollywood Fever): The wife of missing British TV presenter Dr. Michael Mosley has released a statement three days into the search for her husband on a Greek island. Dr. Mosley disappeared during a hike, and his family remains hopeful for his return.
Dr. Clare Bailey, who collaborates with her husband on nutrition and fitness publications, expressed her thoughts in a statement:
“It has been three days since Michael left the beach to go for a walk. The longest and most unbearable days for myself and my children.
“The search is ongoing and our family are so incredibly grateful to the people of Symi, the Greek authorities, and the British Consulate who are working tirelessly to help find Michael.
“We will not lose hope.”
The couple has four children, who have reportedly traveled to the island to aid in the search.
Dr. Mosley, aged 67, vanished after departing from a beach on the island of Symi. According to the BBC, he left Agios Nikolaos beach in the north-east corner of the island around 1:30 PM. He was expected to reach Pedi, where he could catch a bus back to his holiday home in Symi. However, new CCTV footage shows him, carrying an umbrella to shield from the sun, apparently heading towards a mountainous path inland.
Dr. Mosley is a renowned TV presenter in the UK, known for his nutrition and health documentaries. Initially a BBC producer, he gained fame through his health books and the popular 5:2 diet, which involves intermittent fasting. He also hosts the BBC podcast “The One Thing,” focusing on physical and mental health.
