ST. LOUIS COUNTY Lawsuit: Woman sues NBA YoungBoy for injuries sustained during 2019 concert

The incident occurred at The Ambassador music venue on Halls Ferry Road. According to the lawsuit filed in St. Louis County Circuit Court, Cayden Rutherford somehow managed to get on stage, and subsequently, an unidentified individual associated with the show threw her off the stage. Rutherford landed on the concrete floor, hitting a broken cable in the process.

The lawsuit states that Rutherford suffered a concussion, as well as injuries to her neck, back, and ankle. These injuries have reportedly caused ongoing physical pain and mental distress, significantly impacting her daily life.

NBA YoungBoy, a highly successful rapper with 100 gold and platinum certifications, is the defendant in this lawsuit.

Lawsuit claims rapper’s history of altercations with fans and lack of supervision at concert

The lawsuit alleges that the rapper, NBA YoungBoy, has a track record of engaging in fights with fans during his shows. Prior to the St. Louis concert, the lawsuit provides details of three incidents where the rapper either fought with fans or where a fan was thrown from the stage at concerts in Minnesota, Virginia, and South Carolina. The incident in South Carolina led to the cancellation of the concert due to the fighting.

According to the lawsuit, considering this history, The Ambassador (the concert venue), concert promoter Major Entertainment LLC, and security company Elite Security, Protection & Services LLC should have exercised greater supervision and precautionary measures.

In the lawsuit, Rutherford is seeking financial compensation from NBA YoungBoy, the concert venue, the promoter, and the security company. Brad Elkin from Cofman Townsley is representing Rutherford as her attorney, but he declined to provide further comments.

No attorneys have been listed for any of the defendants in the lawsuit. Attempts to reach NBA YoungBoy, whose legal name is Kentrell Deshawn Gaulden, for comment have been unsuccessful.

Immediate responses were not received after messages were left at The Ambassador and with the owners of Major Entertainment and Elite Security.
