Country star Zach Bryan deletes his X account after Swifties backlash over a tweet about Taylor Swift and the Kansas City Chiefs. Learn what led to the controversy.
BollywoodFever: Country music sensation Zach Bryan found himself in hot water after sending a tweet that sparked backlash from Taylor Swift’s passionate fanbase, the Swifties.

Known for his chart-topping, self-titled platinum album, Bryan tweeted a joke comparing the Philadelphia Eagles to the Kansas City Chiefs, the team of Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce, and controversially added, “Kanye > Taylor.”
Though likely intended as a lighthearted jab, the tweet drew swift criticism from Swift’s loyal fans. Facing a flood of negative responses, Bryan opted to delete his X (formerly Twitter) account rather than endure the escalating backlash.

“Eagles > Chiefs. Kanye > Taylor. Who’s with me?” Bryan posted, only to receive comments like, “He knew not to mess with the Swifties,” and “Got all brave just to wimp out and deactivate.”
Beyond the controversy with Swift, Bryan’s take on the NFL didn’t hold much weight either, as the Eagles are currently 1-1 following a disappointing loss to the Atlanta Falcons, while the Chiefs are 2-0 with impressive wins over the Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals.
Despite his success in the music industry, Zach Bryan quickly learned that Swift’s fanbase is not to be trifled with, especially when it comes to defending their favorite artist.
