Julia Fox Embraces ‘Nepo Baby’ Status, Wants Son to Share in Fame

Julia Fox is embracing her “nepo baby” status and wants her son, Valentino, to do the same. In a recent interview with Variety, the actress expressed her desire to share her fame with her son and defended his right to leverage her celebrity status if he wishes.

“It’s like I have this very highly coveted thing, I want to share that with my son. We need him to be a nepo baby, and he needs to, like, own it, too. He can’t be like, ‘I’m not really a nepo baby,’ he needs to be like, ‘Yes I’m a nepo baby, and what?'” she explained.

Julia also indirectly addressed other celebrities like Zooey Deschanel, Rashida Jones, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Rumer Willis, Dakota Johnson, and Lily Rose-Depp, who have denied nepotism playing a role in their success despite being “nepo babies.”

Despite their public personas, Julia says she and Valentino lead relatively normal lives. She revealed that she doesn’t have a nanny and is actively involved with the other parents at Valentino’s daycare.

Julia recently upgraded her and Valentino’s living arrangement, moving in with her best friend and her boyfriend, whom she did not name. She described him as “very comfortable in his masculinity” and “definitely the best role model I could have ever chosen for Valentino, because I don’t want him to grow up aggressively macho like some other men in his vicinity are.”

Julia welcomed Valentino in January 2021, six months after finalizing her divorce from his father, Peter Artemiev.
