Leroy Sané has been named as the ninth player in Julian Nagelsmann’s Germany squad for the Euro 2024 tournament.
Sané joins Bayern Munich teammates Manuel Neuer and Aleksandar Pavlovic in the 10-man list announced so far.
Despite his current suspension due to a red card received against Austria in November, Sané will be eligible to play after the Ukraine friendly on June 3.
The 28-year-old winger has recently been dealing with a pubic bone issue, affecting his playtime in Munich.
Although he participated in Bayern’s Champions League matches against Arsenal and Real Madrid, his domestic appearances have been minimal.
He played only 18 minutes against Stuttgart and missed the recent game against Wolfsburg entirely.
Germany’s provisional Euro 2024 squad so far includes:
Manuel Neuer, Jonathan Tah, Nico Schlotterbeck, Robin Koch.
Others are Maximilian Mittelstädt, Chris Führich, Aleksandar Pavlovic, Niclas Füllkrug, Kai Havertz, and Leroy Sané.
The unique approach to squad announcements has captured public attention, maintaining suspense and engagement around Germany’s preparations for the tournament.
