Luann De Lesseps Advises Against Drastic Cast Changes in ‘RHONJ’ Reboot
Luann De Lesseps, former ‘RHONY’ star, warns against a complete cast overhaul for ‘The Real Housewives of New Jersey’ reboot, suggesting a mix of old and new cast members for continuity.
Bollywood Fever: Luann De Lesseps has some advice for Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” reboot: rip the cast apart at your own peril!
We caught up with “The Real Housewives of New York” alum in Los Angeles, where she weighed in on ‘RHONJ’ undergoing a major reset—similar to ‘RHONY’ during her tenure amid low ratings and racism accusations.

Currently on tour with her ‘Countess Cabaret’, De Lesseps emphasized that producers should retain some original cast members to blend with the new ones, ensuring a seamless transition and maintaining continuity rather than a total overhaul.
When pressed to name which ‘RHONJ’ cast members should stay or go, De Lesseps remained tight-lipped, citing her focus on her own projects and leaving the decisions to Bravo producers.
De Lesseps also addressed her potential return to the ‘Real Housewives’ franchise, expressing openness to the idea but noting it might require some convincing as she’s currently busy with her new dating show.
For those unfamiliar with the ‘RHONJ’ drama, it’s too extensive to summarize here. Suffice to say, nearly every cast member is embroiled in some form of conflict, with physical altercations becoming commonplace. The situation has deteriorated to the point where the cast is refusing to film a reunion—an unprecedented move in the Bravo universe.
Additionally, we asked De Lesseps about her long-standing feud with fellow ‘RHONY’ cast member Bethenny Frankel. Her thoughts on this are definitely worth a listen to the end of the clip.
De Lesseps seems to advocate for a balanced approach: embracing new faces without discarding the familiar ones too hastily.
