Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi Secretly Tie the Knot: All the Details on Their Intimate Ceremony
Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi Secretly Tie the Knot
The Stranger Things star, 20, and the model, 22, who is the son of Jon Bon Jovi, secretly wed in a ceremony last weekend.
According to The Sun, Jon Bon Jovi and Dorothea Bongiovi, along with Brown’s parents, were present at the intimate event. “It was a very low-key, romantic affair with their closest family with them as they said their vows.” The outlet also reported that the couple plans to host a larger ceremony later this year.

The couple first sparked romance rumors in June 2021 when Bongiovi shared a selfie with Brown on Instagram. They “were friends for a bit” before they started dating, Brown revealed to Wired in 2022. The two were seen holding hands in New York City later that month and made several red carpet appearances together, including at the 2022 BAFTA Film Awards and the season 4 premiere of Brown’s Netflix series. They have continued to share moments of their relationship on Instagram.
In 2023, the Enola Holmes star referred to Bongiovi as her “partner for life” to start the new year. Four months later, Bongiovi proposed. Brown announced their engagement on Instagram on April 11 with a black-and-white photo of the couple embracing, captioning it with a line from Taylor Swift’s “Lover”: “I’ve loved you three summers now, honey, I want ’em all 🤍.”

“I don’t know if age matters,” said Jon Bon Jovi, 62, about the young couple. “If you find the right partner and you grow together … my advice really is growing together is wise. I think that all of my kids have found people that they think they can grow together with and we like them all.”
“Millie is wonderful,” he added, noting that his son is “very, very happy.”
Following the engagement, Brown shared several wedding planning updates. In August 2023, she told Women’s Wear Daily (WWD) that she found the process “so fun,” adding: “It’s such an exciting time in my life.”
She expressed her wish to keep the intimate details of her nuptials private. “I think probably drawing the curtains, just because there are only so many moments in life that you get only once,” she told WWD. “And to have everyone’s opinions and eyes looking at that just feels unnatural to me.”
“So I feel it’s important to keep those things, those small precious moments in life, really close to your chest,” she continued.
Brown’s Stranger Things co-star Matthew Modine shared another update in March 2024 during an interview with Access Online, revealing that he would officiate the wedding ceremony.
“I have one of those licenses to get people married and Millie thought it’d be great and then Jake said it would be a great idea, so I wrote the wedding vows and they loved what I wrote for them to join hands and to become husband and wife,” Modine, 65, explained.
“It’s such a beautiful thing to be able to join two people in holy matrimony,” he added.
