Bollywood Fever: Nicolas Cage’s ex, Christina Fulton, has voiced her concerns following their son Weston Cage’s arrest for assault with a deadly weapon, which allegedly occurred during a mental health crisis.

The “Doors” actress, 57, confirmed that her son’s arrest stemmed from a “manic rage.” In a statement obtained by People, Fulton detailed the events of April 28, 2024, when she received urgent messages about Weston’s deteriorating mental state and rushed to help.

“On April 28th, 2024, around 5:30 p.m., I received urgent messages from friends of my son, Weston Cage, regarding his deteriorating mental state, urging me to come help,” Fulton’s statement began. “When I arrived to offer support and console him, he was already in the midst of a manic rage. Within minutes, I was brutally assaulted and sustained serious injuries.”

Fulton claimed she made “desperate pleas” to the responding officers to detain her son for a psychological evaluation, but they allegedly “refused” her request.

The LAPD arrested Weston, 33, on Wednesday for the April incident, though the reason for the delayed booking was not disclosed. Records show Weston was released on a $150,000 bond.

Authorities confirmed that the mixed martial artist “punched two victims multiple times, causing injury.” The district attorney filed two counts of assault with a deadly weapon against Weston on June 26, and an arrest warrant was issued later.

“As a mother, I am deeply saddened and concerned about Weston’s ongoing mental-health crisis,” Fulton concluded her statement. “It is imperative that he receives the help he desperately needs.”

Fulton’s attorney previously told Page Six that she has been working with authorities regarding her son’s criminal charges. “My client has fully cooperated with the investigation and supports any decision made by law enforcement after they independently examined the evidence and the facts,” the lawyer stated. “This is a criminal matter and my client is simply a victim and witness.”

Weston Cage is the only child of Nicolas Cage and Christina Fulton, who dated from 1988 to 1991. Nicolas, 60, has two other children: son Kal-El Cage, 18, with ex-wife Alice Kim, and daughter August, 1, with wife Riko Shibata.
