Bollywood Fever: Puddle of Mudd’s Wes Scantlin was arrested after a traffic stop escalated into a tense standoff, with police eventually using pepper spray to extract him from his vehicle, according to law enforcement.
Burbank PD informed TMZ that Scantlin was arrested on Wednesday after officers stopped his black Hummer H2 in Burbank for a traffic violation and requested his ID. Upon checking, they discovered Scantlin had an active warrant from a previous case involving an alleged weapon at an airport.

When officers asked Scantlin to exit the car, he refused. After multiple attempts, a crisis negotiator was brought in to persuade him, but he still wouldn’t comply.
Sources revealed that pepper spray was deployed but proved ineffective, prompting SWAT to intervene around 4:00 AM. They broke the car window and used non-lethal pepper balls to finally get Scantlin to surrender and exit the vehicle.
Scantlin was taken to the hospital to have his eyes flushed from the pepper balls but was otherwise unharmed. He was then booked at the jail for the outstanding warrant and a new charge of resisting arrest. He was cited and released, with a court date set for August 20.
