Sean Kingston Arrested Following Police Raid on South Florida Mansion
Sean Kingston was arrested in California shortly after his mother was taken into custody in a police raid on his rented mansion in South Florida. Police in Fort Irwin, Calif. arrested the “Beautiful Girls” singer on Thursday afternoon, as confirmed by the Broward County Sheriff’s Office in Florida.
According to a statement from the BCSO to XXL, Kingston, whose real name is Kisean Anderson, was arrested without incident on numerous fraud and theft charges based on a warrant issued by the Broward Sheriff’s Office. He is set to be booked into jail in San Bernardino, Calif.

Records from San Bernardino County show that Kingston was arrested around 5 p.m. PST and is currently ineligible for bail, being held at the High Desert Detention Center in Adelanto, Calif.
The arrest follows a police raid on Kingston’s mansion in Dania Beach, Fla., where his mother, Janice Turner, was taken into custody on multiple theft and fraud charges. The raid was related to a lawsuit filed by Ver Ver Entertainment, which alleges that Kingston failed to pay monthly installments and the installation fee for a 232-inch television they sold him.
Responding to the raid on social media prior to his arrest, Kingston wrote, “People love negative energy! I am good and so is my mother!..my lawyers are handling everything as we speak.”
This is not the first time Kingston has faced accusations of financial misconduct. In April 2017, he was sued for allegedly failing to pay for a Rolex worth $46,000.
