Selena Gomez’s Boyfriend Benny Blanco Surprises Her with Homemade Steak Dinner
Benny Blanco recently demonstrated his romantic side by surprising his girlfriend, Selena Gomez, with a homemade steak dinner. Blanco shared the heartwarming moment on Instagram, showcasing his culinary skills and heartfelt gesture, which left fans swooning.
“I woke up early this morning and I was like, ‘I want to do something nice for my girlfriend,'” Blanco shared with his followers. “I was thinking, whenever I want to put a smile on her face or get laid, I just make her steak.”
Blanco documented the preparation process, sharing snapshots of himself preparing a delicious spread, including perfectly smoked steak, crispy potatoes, and a Caesar salad with homemade croutons. “If you’re not making homemade croutons, you’re an idiot,” he joked in one of the clips.
Initially planning to surprise Gomez at her workplace, Blanco adjusted his plans when he learned she had the day off. Undeterred, he went to her home, finding her still fast asleep upon arrival. Blanco left a handwritten note by her bedside and quietly departed, leaving the delicious meal for her to enjoy.
Gomez later shared the sweet surprise on her Instagram Stories, revealing Blanco’s note, “I love you! Sleep well! I made you steak.”
During a livestream on TalkShopLive last month in support of his cookbook, Open Wide: A Cookbook for Friends, Blanco revealed Gomez’s favorite meal.
“She’s a huge steak fan, so anything with steak in it,” he shared. “She always asks for steak and she always asks for these little perfect fried potatoes.”
Blanco also shared that Gomez enjoys a pasta dish featured in the book.
Blanco once surprised Gomez on the set of Only Murders in the Building with her favorite soup.
“She loves soup,” he said. “So she was shooting a show yesterday and I made a little soup and I brought it over to her.”
Blanco praised Gomez’s cooking skills, mentioning they cook together every day and teasing the possibility of fans seeing it on camera someday.
“Maybe someday,” he said. “We always cook together, it’s not like just for her show. She’s an incredible cook. We have so much fun. All we do is eat.”
Gomez, 31, and Blanco, 35, confirmed their romance in December after months of speculation.
Last month, Gomez spoke about their “lovely” romance and the safety she feels with Blanco during an interview with Zane Lowe.
“Without getting into too much detail, I think it’s just really important to meet someone who respects you,” Gomez said. “And I think it’s really nice to also lean on someone who understands the world that I live in. But I’d have to say overall it’s the safest that I feel and it’s been really lovely and I’ve only grown through it, so it’s awesome.”
While they kept their relationship relatively private, Gomez and Blanco have shared sweet moments on Instagram and made their first public appearance together during the Emmys.
