Twitch streamer Blurbs is making waves online with a new mod they created, allowing viewers to voice in-game characters in Skyrim.
Blurbs, who boasts over 70,000 followers on Twitch, recently shared a video clip on Twitter showcasing the highlights from a livestream where they tested the mod. In the mod, viewers take control of dialogue lines, transforming simple interactions into humorous and unexpected moments.
For instance, instead of the usual dialogue from a child NPC in Skyrim, viewers’ voices from Blurbs’ chat are heard, with one viewer asking if Blurbs “wants some dr*gs” when approaching a child in Riverwood, resulting in hilariously absurd exchanges.
In an interview with Dexerto, Blurbs disclosed that this was their first attempt at creating such a mod, which took them a little over a month to develop. Despite the initial learning curve, Blurbs, an ex-software developer turned full-time content creator, found their background beneficial in experimenting with different mods.
Blurbs expressed interest in integrating the voice mod into other games, particularly another Bethesda title like Fallout, as per their viewers’ requests. They plan to explore this possibility once they’ve finished having fun with Skyrim.
