Seventeen’s Mingyu Named Dior Ambassador Amid Busy Year for K-pop Group

Seventeen’s Mingyu has been named Dior’s newest ambassador, joining stars like Jimin and Jisoo. This news coincides with Seventeen’s U.S. tour and upcoming EP release.

Bollywood Fever: Seventeen’s Mingyu has been officially announced as Dior’s brand ambassador, the luxury fashion house revealed Tuesday morning.

The 27-year-old K-pop star has been making waves in luxury fashion and beauty over the past year. He recently attended a Dior show and Bulgari events and starred in an L’Occitane campaign in Asia.

Dior made the announcement through a series of social media posts, calling Mingyu “the perfect embodiment of Dior’s aesthetic,” showcasing him in a burgundy Oblique suit designed by Dior men’s creative director Kim Jones. Additional posts described him as an “international man of style” and “the perfect embodiment of audacity and creativity,” featuring Mingyu in two more designs by Kim Jones. He joins other high-profile Dior ambassadors, including BTS’ Jimin, Natalie Portman, Blackpink’s Jisoo, and Rosalía.

The announcement coincided with Seventeen’s latest U.S. tour reveal. The 13-member K-pop group will visit five cities, with performances at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles and Oakland Arena in the Bay Area, as part of their “Seventeen [Right Here] World Tour.” This tour supports their new EP, expected to release in October.

Recently, Mingyu and his Seventeen bandmates made history as the first K-pop group to perform on the iconic main stage at the Glastonbury Festival. The group is also set to headline the upcoming Lollapalooza Berlin.
