CDC to Revise COVID Isolation Guidelines: Washington Post
According to a report from the Washington Post on Tuesday, the U.S. CDC intends to update its COVID-19 isolation guidelines, abandoning the current five-day recommendation.
Under the new guidance, individuals who test positive for COVID-19 will be advised to assess their symptoms to determine when to end isolation.
Those with mild symptoms that are improving would no longer be required to stay home as long as they have been fever-free for at least 24 hours, as stated by CDC officials familiar with the matter.
