Erica Herman Withdraws $30 Million Lawsuit Against Tiger Woods Following Their Separation

Tiger Woods’ former partner, Erica Herman, has decided to abandon her $30 million lawsuit against him, where she had previously claimed that he owed her the amount. Court documents obtained by The NY Post on July 18, 2023, revealed that Erica has dismissed the lawsuit that was previously in progress. However, it is worth noting that her request to nullify the 2017 non-disclosure agreement with Tiger is said to still be pending.

Tiger Woods and Erica Herman’s relationship has reached its conclusion, as evidenced by recent developments. According to PEOPLE, court documents have revealed that Erica, a former restaurant manager, filed a lawsuit against Tiger, alleging that he owes her $30 million for being locked out of his home during an apparent breakup in October 2022. The lawsuit, which came to light on March 8 when Erica sought to invalidate their non-disclosure agreement, prompted a response from a defendant company.

The lawyers representing Jupiter Island Irrevocable Homestead Trust, in their response document, stated, “Ms. Herman responded to the breakup by filing this lawsuit.” They explained that Erica claimed she was owed $30 million due to a breached oral agreement, alleging that trust employees locked her out of the residence, removed her personal belongings, and prohibited her return. Additionally, Erica claimed that over $40,000 in cash was misappropriated. The attorneys argued that she was only permitted to reside in the residence during their relationship, as Tiger’s two teenage children from his previous marriage also live there.

The company requested that the matter be resolved through arbitration, given Erica’s assertion that she had an oral agreement through the trust allowing her to live in Tiger’s home for five more years. She is seeking damages, including attorney’s fees, under the Florida Residential Landlord Tenant Act.

Adding to the dramatic turn of events, Erica reportedly filed documents to nullify a non-disclosure agreement with Tiger, invoking the Speak Out Act and the Ending Forced Arbitration of Sexual Assault and Sexual Harassment Act of 2021. These recently enacted laws enable the cancellation of NDAs in cases of sexual harassment or assault. The aim of Erica’s filing is to determine the validity and enforceability of Tiger’s NDA. These revelations suggest a tumultuous end to the couple’s years-long relationship. Tiger and Erica, who previously managed one of his restaurants, had been together since 2017.
