Forty-three passengers remain hospitalized in Bangkok after a Singapore Airlines flight encountered severe turbulence. Details include patient conditions and hospital updates.

Forty-three passengers from a Singapore Airlines flight that experienced severe turbulence are still hospitalized in Bangkok four days after the incident, according to a statement from Samitivej Srinakarin hospital on Saturday.

The 43 patients are receiving treatment at three different hospitals in Bangkok. At Samitivej Srinakarin hospital, where 34 of the patients are being treated, seven are in intensive care: three Australians, two Malaysians, one British, and one New Zealander.

The remaining 27 patients at Samitivej Srinakarin hospital include eight British, six Australian, five Malaysian, and two Philippine citizens. Two people were discharged from Samitivej Srinakarin, while two from Samitivej Sukhumvit hospital were transferred to Samitivej Srinakarin to join hospitalized relatives.

On Thursday, the director of Samitivej Srinakarin hospital informed reporters that 22 patients had spinal cord injuries and six had brain and skull injuries, though none were life-threatening.

A passenger died from a suspected heart attack, and dozens were injured on Tuesday when Singapore Airlines Flight SQ321, en route from London to Singapore, encountered severe turbulence over Myanmar. The flight, carrying 211 passengers and 18 crew members, made an emergency landing in Bangkok.
