United States (Bollywood Fever): YouTube star IShowSpeed recently showcased his athletic versatility by learning how to play hockey with Montreal Canadiens forward Cole Caufield, even experiencing his first on-ice fight.
IShowSpeed has demonstrated his athletic prowess before, performing backflips with Peter Griffin impersonators at KFC and executing finishing moves at WrestleMania. Now, he’s ventured into the world of hockey.
In a new video, Speed met with Cole Caufield, who presented him with a custom jersey and the necessary equipment to hit the ice. After mastering some basic skating techniques, Speed attempted to score and even managed a soccer-style header goal.
The intensity ramped up during an actual game, where Speed repeatedly faced body checks from an opposing player. In response, he reverted to a soccer move with a slide tackle, which eventually led to his first-ever hockey fight. Although he didn’t throw real punches, Speed showcased potential as an enforcer by managing his opponent before calling Caufield to break up the altercation.
Reflecting on his experience, Speed admitted, “You can see by the look on my face. I’m done. It’s hard,” he said from the locker room. “It may look super stupid on camera, but it’s way harder than it looks. It’s like playing two sports – ice skating and it’s a stick and a puck.”
This latest venture follows Speed’s participation in the 2024 Gloucestershire cheese rolling competition, where he impressively finished fourth without any prior preparation.
With such diverse athletic abilities, it’s intriguing to speculate what sport Speed will tackle next, as his willingness to try new challenges seems boundless.
