At the age of 60, Lance Reddick, a well-known actor renowned for his portrayal of a police commander on the Baltimore crime drama โThe Wireโ and notable roles in the โJohn Wickโ film series and the Amazon series โBosch,โ passed away on Friday. His publicist, Mia Hansen, confirmed the news of his death, but did not disclose where he passed away or the cause.
In 1996, Mr. Reddick began his acting career on the stage and went on to secure minor roles in television series such as โNew York Undercoverโ and โThe West Wing,โ as well as TV movies. Despite his relatively small roles, he often played law enforcement figures. However, his breakthrough came in 2002 when he was cast as Lt. Cedric Daniels, the head of the investigation unit with unwavering principles, in โThe Wire,โ an HBO series that was praised for its realistic portrayal of policing, crime, education, and other aspects of life in Baltimore.
