Cathilee Deborah “Cat” Zingano is an American mixed martial artist, currently signed to Bellator MMA, competing in the Women’s Featherweight division.
She was born on July 1, 1982 in Winona, Minnesota, United States.
Zingano competed for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), and on April 13, 2013, she became the first woman to win a UFC fight by technical knockout (TKO).
At the time of her departure from the UFC, she was No. 7 in the official UFC bantamweight rankings.
As of April 13, 2021, she is #8 in the Bellator Women’s pound-for-pound Rankings and #3 in the Bellator Women’s Featherweight Rankings.
On October 29, 2019, it was announced that Zingano had signed with Bellator MMA.
Zingano married Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt Mauricio Zingano in 2010.
Her husband committed suicide on January 13, 2014.
She has a son named Brayden (born 2006), making her the first mother to compete in the UFC.
Ahead of her second Bellator MMA fight, she set up a scholarship fund to help students who have been recently bereaved with $10,000.
