Rajkummar Rao was the one who suggested the title ‘Stree’. When the story was being narrated to him by Raj & DK the title was ‘O Stree Kal Aana.’ Rajkummar came up with the title as it was the first word that came to his mind.
It is based on the Indian urban legend, Nale Ba, about a witch who knocks on people’s doors at night.
Sharddha Kapoor’s character has no name in the film.
Sharddha Kapoor and Rajkumar Rao deleted their Instagram posts and posted tag lines from film like O Stree Kal Aana and Mard Ko Dard Hoga to promote the film.

Debut film of director Amar Kaushik. He earlier assisted producers Raj Nidimoru & Krishna DK on their film Go Goa Gone.
